The tournament is played at Triple Creek park in Gallatin, Tennessee and has become the second largest Conference event as far as number of Conference teams in the history of the league.  There are 27 Conference teams and 40 teams overall in this tournament so it is a big points weekend for the successful teams.  The main fields #9 and #11 are baseball fields and use the stadium ball (at least they have in the past).  The tournament starts at 6:00 PM and is on Central time.

The only top Conference team that has to play at 6 PM in a "play in" game is CA Sports who takes on Fort Campbell Softball, a military 'D' team.  The real action starts in the second round with the top quarter of the bracket and a good 'B' matchup between The Scene and BuziniSports.com.  R&M Metals takes on TPS/SportsCenter and Pure Romance takes on B&B Sears.  In this part of the bracket I'll take Buzini over The Scene, R&M over TPS/Sportscenter (on the baseball field), and Nordkap to beat B&B Sears and R&M to go to the final 4.  Nordkap picked up CA Sports outfielder Ryan Robbins and should handle a banged up R&M team in the quarter finals.  Buzini has been a giant killer this year and should give R&M a game if they can get by The Scene in the 2nd round who desperately need a good start themselves.  This is a good competitive part of the bracket, as teams from 4 different classes stack up pretty well against each other.

In the 2nd quarter of the bracket Blitz, who is down a few starters, get PrimeTime to open on the second baseball field.  I'm going to take Blitz although Primetime should score with them.  I'll take D2E over Wheelhouse big.  Taylormade should handle TG United and face Laser Vision in the 3rd round.  I see Laser Vision picked up former Blitz and Dan Smith pitcher Mark Urbain.  At least that gives them some pitching options.  The Laser Vision vs Taylormade high noon showdown should be a good one as well as the D2E vs Blitz game.  Lets go with Laser Vision over Tmade and D2E to make the final 4.

In the 3rd part of the bracket the Baugh Ford vs FBI 2nd round matchup is a toss up and a good game between good but struggling 'B' teams.  I'll go with Baugh.  Look for Shoppe to cruise by 3rd Street Financial, and 454 to get past Line Drive to set up a Shoppe vs 454 matchup.  The two hottest 'A' teams in the tournament would then meet in the quarter finals on the 2nd baseball field.  A tough pick, but I'll take 454 to make the final 4.

In the bottom part of the bracket look for Combat to take Headhunters best shot but prevail and look for Reds Astros to upset CA Sports.  Resmondo should cruise past Players Warehouse, Columbus Pipe (if they can get past their 50/50 game with P&P), and Team Combat to make the final 4.  Resmondo has picked up Jeff Hall who is still recovering from shoulder surgery and hasn't played a Conference event since Phoenix in 2010.  Purcell is still out for awhile according to sources on the team, and Jr, Hughes, and Krause may still not be 100%.

Any way you look at it the big games are going to be played on the big fields with the stadium ball so infielders from all teams are going to have to dig in and knock down some hard shots for their team to win.

My picks for the Music City Classic:

1) Laser Vision
2) Nordkap
3) Team 454
4) Resmondo
Tied for 5th) Shoppe (if they can recover from the 11 games they played last weekend) and D2E

My 'B' team "pick to click" is Reds Astros

Triple Creek Park has two quads of fields.  The fields to the left on this picture are the main fields.  The field to the top right is the show field #9 and the field to the lower right of the main quad is field #11.

Google Earth shows the fence distances as:

F9 325-355-365-355-325
F11 325-355-365-345-320
The other two fields at the main wheel
295-300-310-290-280 next to F11
283-303-315-315-305 next to F9

The fields #5 and #6 are at the quad on the right of the picture and they are 300 just about all the way around
