Major World Series countdown – #16 Primetime/Easton!

#16 Primetime/Easton

Primetime held on to the #16 seed for the World Series even though they did not play that last regular season tournament in Michigan. Primetime is 6-5 on the baseball sized fields this year. Most recently they knocked off Team Combat 14-13 at the Conference Championships and then lost to R&M Metals 8-6. Primetime has averaged 17.00 runs per game on baseball fields and scored over 20 runs in 6 of their 11 games on them. Most memorable was their 20 runs against Laser Vision at the Smoky Mountain Classic on the main field, and their back to back night wins at the Hall of Fame Classic where they beat Blitz 29-22 and P&P 333 22-9.
Primetime is led by All Conference selections MI Earl Bryant who was 5th in the league in on base percentage but only had 110 plate appearances, and pitcher and two hitter Dennis Davison who is 2nd on the team in home runs with 16. Primetime has picked up Pace slugger Eddie Conover to help in the power department. Primetime has been in the Conference many years and has some experienced players, all from the southeast and mainly Georgia.
Outlook: Primetime has to play the #1 seed Resmondo-Specialty Tank/Worth in the opening round at the Major on Wednesday night. This is unfortunate because Resmondo has won 3 straight Major World tournaments in a row and 15 consecutive games at the Series, most of which were won by the run rule. That being said, Primetime's goal should be to play for 7 innings, make the routine plays, no bad throws on the long bases, and no drops when running down balls in the outfield. If they catch all the bloops and foul balls, hit a timely home run, and never give up, you never know what can happen!
