Taylormade is actually the real story of this tournament though, as they turned around a rather dismal season with one incredible week.  After losing to Resmondo by a run rule on Wednesday night, Taylormade rebounded to beat Wood Law, D2E, Suncoast, Team 454, GTL, and Laser Vision.  4 of the wins were won by 2 runs or less and the Laser Vision game was the Sunday morning loser's bracket championship where Taylormade dominated start to finish and won 18-3.

Taylormade/TM Sports/Mizuno won 6 straight in the loser's bracket to finish 2nd (not pictured due to injury is Kevin Rye)

#1 seed Resmondo beats #16 seed Taylormade on Wednesday night.  Noone ever figured they'd meet again 4 days later in the championship game

Taylormade takes on Laser Vision on Sunday morning in the loser's final – Rick Baker hitting against Brandon Jonas

2nd Place Taylormade/TM Sports/Mizuno   GTGG

Conf 'A' from Williamsburg, VA   6-2 Record

Taylormade won more games against top competition at the world series than they had all season.  The team had 93 extra base hits led by offensive mvp Kevin Kennington.  They also got some gutsy pitching from Brandon Jonas, some spectacular catches by Jeremy Yates, and won some close games.

Hopefully this group can stay together for 2012.

Tournament directors Greg Huchingson and Elliot Clark give the Taylormade sponsors and management a trophy

Jeremy Yates the Taylormade Left Fielder had some great defensive plays and also 11 extra base hits

Taylormade finishes off GTL 21-19

Taylormade 2nd baseman Kevin Rye was injured in the Resmondo game on Wednesday.  Hopefully he is ok

Tied for 13th Taylormade/TM Sports/Mizuno was hurt again by a poor seed and wasn't able to muster a comeback against Shoppe on Saturday morning and thus their season is basically over as far as USSSA goes unless a bunch of teams drop out of the Major?  Taylormade was knocked out by Linedrive who came from 9 runs down in the bottom of the 7th to win 15-14 on a walk off homer.  I think Taylormade should add the ASA 'A' to their schedule because they are too good to call it quits this year and the young players might benefit from the experience.
