1975 Marine Military softball team

Gene Somers was a shortstop on the 1975 All-Marine Softball team (pictured here) and the All-Interservice Team.  He sent these photos.  The picture was taken in Hawaii and is the same team that won the Marine championship in San Diego.  They did not pick any players from the other marine teams to go to the Interservice championship…  They then flew cross country in a C-130 to Cherry Point and from there to the inter-service championship tournament.  They won that tournament and were told they were the first Marine Corps team to win in 20 years.

The team came from the WesPac and most of the guys came from the Hawaii HQ.
