Who are you playing with in 2017?

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Pitcher and outfield

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Billy Messina and Brian Wegman

Why do you like the game of softball?
The similarities that it has to baseball and the high speed and competitiveness

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Too many to just choose one

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
My name is kind of like a nickname already

What is your height and weight?
6' 190

Where do you call home?
Simi Valley, CA

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Golfing, fishing, and hanging out with friends and family

What do you do for a living?
Set Lighting Tech for TV shows

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Baseball and football at Royal High and baseball at Cal State LA

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Played league with my dad for a couple years while still playing baseball then got asked to fill in on a team that went to the southwest Allstar tournament. After that got asked to play for AZM.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Never really played non conference but just from watching I'd say the speed and consistency.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
The two I mentioned up top but those are big footsteps to follow

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Playing in the Men's Major World Series last year being that I've watched my father play there for many years.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
My Father

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
You never know when someone is watching so always play hard and hustle

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Drop pinky down on both hands

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Hit, workout, shag balls in the OF with a purpose and work on pitching

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Mets and baseball

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Many throughout the season but they are subject to change based on the way the team and myself are playing

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Old Man by Neil Young

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Get more big tournaments out west

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Toys for tots because everyone comes to have a good time but still playing hard

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Fortune Road because I think it's the right dimensions for softball

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Any Italian place with good chicken parmigiana

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
I think you should ask that question but off the field

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I have an extra vertebrae

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
I was fortunate enough to receive a lot of equipment when I was younger, so I enjoyed giving my things away to friends and kids on other teams that were less fortunate.
