Why do you like the game of softball? 
It allows me to compete.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play? 
I have been around for over 18, years, too many to name.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why? 
I will be a little bias, all the young guys I played with this year on Dirty.

What is your nickname in softball? 
Elrod

What is your height and weight? 
5' 9"/ 250lbs.

Where do you call home? 
Lake Wales, Florida

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend? 
Spending time with my Family at home, in the woods, or out on the lake.

What do you do for a living? 
I run a monument/ vault business.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro? 
HS – Football & Baseball, College – 4 yrs. Baseball.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level? 
While in college, I used to travel as an extra for the Resmondo's Bad Dogs.  I made it to the upper level, Thanks to Pete Campbell and Rick Gouser.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump? 
Mental Toughness

What was the best advice you were ever given? 
"Catch it and it won't hurt you!" and "never stop learning, because if you do you stop getting better…"  (My Dad)

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level? 
Stay humble and never stop learning.

What positions do you play and what is your best position? 
Pitcher/ 3rd Base

What batting grip do you use? 
Standard two finger drop.

What ounce bat do you use? 
27oz.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season? 
Take BP at least 2-3 days a week and go to the gym.

What is your most memorable softball moment? 
The years with the Blockbuster crew and this year with Dirty.

What would be your "at bat" music selection? 
Good Ol' Boys, by Waylon Jennings

What is your favorite non-World tournament? 
Florida's Superdraft

What is the best softball field you have played at and why? 
Disney

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field? 
About five or six years ago, one of our players (you know who you are) hit a line drive knuckle ball to left field and the left fielder threw down his glove and caught it bare handed.

    Tony is a good guy and a good player. I enjoyed playing with him this past season. And…if needed…Tony can offer up some “lug nut” replacements. Good Luck Tony!

    Tony is a gamer. Works hard on the bump and is very knowledgeable. He also is a great teammate and as a person who played the same position as him he was more then willing to show me different things to improvement my own game. Would be a great asset to any team. Good Luck Tony!
