Why do you like the game of softball?
Gives me the chance to compete and have made some great friends along the way.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
There are so many that I have seen, but some that have stuck out to me were….Carl Rose, Jeff Hall, Brett Helmer, Brian Wegman, Don Dedonatis Jr and many others.

What is your nickname in softball?
 Sick or Peasy

Where do you call home?
 Virginia Beach, VA

What do you do for a living?

Inside Sales for Carter Machinery Co., Inc., the CAT dealer in Va.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played in high school and college (baseball)

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started playing in 99' with some buddies of mine in a church league.  I worked with Easton Sports, and got a chance to meet some guys all over the country.  Got my first chance to play with a B team here in Va in 2000.  In 2007, got picked up by Budlight out of Michigan and played with some of the best players and sponsor in the game for the next 4 years.

What position do you play?
1st some OF/DH/C   where ever needed

What batting grip do you use?
pinky off bat, and 2 finger overlap

What ounce bat do you use?
 27/28

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
work out, take a lot of bp, ususally hit quite a bit off the tee as it is harder to get guys to go out and hit in the colder months, and once the weather starts getting warmer, we get out and start taking ground balls.

What is your favorite sports team?
 Redsox and Steelers

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
 Baseball

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
before every at bat I sweep the dirt smooth 3 or 4 times, then draw a CP in the ground.  Means something to me personally..

Describe what it is like to hit on the Long Haul Bombers tour?
It was a great experience to be out at all of those stadiums.  Everyone thinks that it is so easy to just go up and hit homeruns.  My first stadium was San Diego.  There were still 20+ thousand in the stands.  It definitely is a little nerve wracking to be in front of all those people with so few swings.  The guys that I did the tour with were all very suppoprtive and a great bunch of guys and players.  It was also great to be able to sit there on the field and watch some of the other guys hit.  Watching Connell hit the ball over the Western metal building was incredible.  Having Hall as my partner was pretty cool too.  All in all a great experience to promote softball and meet a lot of people along the way.

What is your most memorable softball moment?
I have had the chance to play with the same guys or atleast a majority of them over the last four years.  Rob Partain has to be one of the best sponsors in the game and being a part of that group was one of the greatest experiences.

Is slowpitch softball a sport or a game?
 sport

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Trying to limit number of major players

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
 Smokys or the McQuade

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
There are way to many of those to list, I have played with a bunch of clowns over the years
