Who are you playing with in 2012?
I will be playing with my 10 month old Twin Boys Easton & Aiden and TEAM (Tim Easton Aiden Melissa) Uhls.  If I do play any softball it will be with a local C Team.

Aiden and Easton

Why do you like the game of softball?
I like the game because of the competition.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
I would have to say Bryson Baker.  Proven winner off and on the field.

What is your nickname in softball?
TU or DWC (Defense Wins Championships)

Where do you call home?
Sacramento California

What do you do for a living?
I work for the CA State Legislature (State Senate) at our State Capitol

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played High School baseball then went on to play junior college baseball at West Valley.  From there went to play ball at Metropolitian State College of Denver in Colorado.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I came back from Colorado and a good Buddy asked me to come play league.  It just so happened that a sponsor (Pauly – JnE Construction) played on the team as well.  The sponsor asked me to play on Saturday (had no idea what that meant at the time).  Played a few years of D ball then was asked at the end of my second year to go play with Worth Vanguard in Oregon for ASA Nationals.  We ended up winning the tournament earning us a trip to Oklahoma for ASA Nationals and next thing you know we are D World Champs and I was fortunate enough to win MVP and make the cover of Softball Today Magazine.  Wow did softball take off after that.  The next year I played B with Smith (Chris Smith).  The following year played B with BMA (we had a nice run at B worlds).  The next few years played conference with Classic Glass.  Then the greatest gift of all, my wife was prego with Twin Boys.  So the past few years I have played local with MVP and Classic Glass.  I am so thankful for all of the sponsors along the way.  Having a beautiful Family really puts softball and life into perspective.

What position do you play?
SS but can play anywhere in the infield.

What batting grip do you use?
Standard baseball grip.

What ounce bat do you use?
26oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Now – nothing
Then – BP / Treadmill

What is your favorite sports team?
Oakland A’s / New York Jets / Golden State Warriors

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Baseball / Golf

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Keep the same routine when entering the box.

What is your most memorable softball moment?
I would have to say D ASA Nationals with Worth Vanguard in Oklahoma.  Not knowing much of anything about Big tournaments (actually was my first World Tourny) and winning.  Took me a few years to actually realize what that truly meant.  There are tons of softball players through out the country that play their whole lives that never get a chance to experience that.  So I am so thankful to even get the opportunity to play in a world tournament let alone win.

Is slowpitch softball a sport or a game?
Sport – with all the hardwork and dedication the players and sponsors put into it.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
None – just play the game.  Enjoy the competition and get better.

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Palm Springs T4T / Lady Legendz “Take a Swing at Breast Cancer”

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Anytime you are around Walt Haley.
