Why do you like the game of softball?
I like the game because it gives you an opportunity to play at a high level of competition and compete against great players all over the world..  It also gives you an opportunity to meet other people like you that loves the game and the friendships that come along with it.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
The best player I have ever seen play would have to be Brad (KILL Yourself) Devane and Paul (I always quit in the middle of the season) Adams.  They are both my brothers who love the game just as much as I do.  Other than them a close 2nd would be Greg Connell and Andy Purcell.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
The best up and coming softball player I've seen would have to be Mitch Mitchell.  He can flat out hit with anybody but his defense still works at Shaky's.  But a really good player and can play with a confrence team if he learns to play a position. .. Dusty Lanford is another good up and coming player.  Your welcome Mitch and Dusty…

My favorite way to spend an off weekend is to sit in my recliner and watch sports on TV.  But that rarely happens because I am married and well you know how that goes..

I am a Detective for the Macon Police Department and I work violent crimes such as Murder, Rape and Robberies.  And in Macon thats an everyday occurrence.  Its like a Third World Country..

I got my start in softball from a guy named Tony Singleton and Paul Adams with a team called Bad Company in E..  I then got asked to play with Jeff Yates on a team called Bells/ Scrubs in C which was one of the best times I have had playing softball.  Then moved on to Cherokee Brick for a couple of years and then with Logo Express.  I then got to be fortunate enough to be asked to play with Jean Shoppe and Coach Blackburn is a class act guy who takes care of his players.  I played 1 year with Bestway and now with Down 2 Earth with Andrew Dubberly who is a great sponsor and friend to all his players.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
The best advice I could give a young player trying to get to the upper level is practice, practice, practice. Always try to get better, never settle, and play hard when given the oppurtunity.

The best advice I was ever given was to stay humble and compete hard.

What position do you play?
I play Middle Infield or anywhere Drew tells me go make another error..

What ounce bat do you use?
I swing a 27 oz bat.  A 28 if I drink enough Chocolate Milk and do enough Push Ups. Aint that right Neck…

In the offseason I usually play through November in pickup tournaments or Police Ball.  Then for the most part just drink chocolate milk and do push ups and some occasional jogging.

My at bat music selection would have to be anything by Nickleback.  But Savin Me is my favorite song by them.

The best improvement upper level softball could make would be limiting the number of Major players per team.  Although that would never happen.  Thats my opinion.

My favorite non World tournament would have to be the Smoky.  Great atmosphere and the quality of teams makes it my favorite.

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?

The best place to eat after a game would have to be anywhere that has COLD AC and a TV to watch the games on.  And perferrably a place that has arcade basketball so that I can beat Chad Loudon and Carlton Griffin again.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
The funniest thing I have ever heard or seen was when I first started playing softball, I was about 15 and I was playing with a team called Bad Company. And after I had played a couple tournaments with them the coach of the team Tony Singleton came up to me and a buddy of mine and told us that he was about to order uniforms and asked us what size blue jeans we wore lol.  We thought he was kidding but he was dead serious and we still laugh about that to this day.
