Who are you playing with in 2018?
As of now just playing with a C team out of Montana.

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
SS, MDL but primarily 2nd base and honestly anywhere I’m needed.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Westy Guill, the dude is flat out a gamer and great person on and off the field.

Why do you like the game of softball?
Softball fills the void of Baseball in my life. After college ball I had to keep playing something in order to fill my competed edge.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
I would have to say Jason crossland from the Tradesman. Played against him in Boise and he goes hard every play and does whatever it takes to win.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Robes is my nickname. Obviously it goes off my last name . I honestly don’t know how I got it. One day a teammate just started calling me it.

What is your height and weight?
6’3 215

Where do you call home?
Casper, Wyoming

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Go fishing or camping with my family.

What do you do for a living?
Superintendent for a construction company

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played baseball and football in high school then went onto college for baseball and played 4 years.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started out in my hometown and picked up with a traveling C team in casper and eventually made it onto a team in Montana. I haven’t made it to the upper level yet. It is very hard to be noticed in my area so I have been working on getting my name out there anyway possible.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Haven’t made the jump but have played conference teams in other tournaments and would have to say the speed of the game.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
When I first broke out in Softball I made a sliding back hand that I popped up and turned a double play on that ended the game to put us in the state title game.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
I’d have to say Westy Guill. He has helped develop my game to the point that he and i believe i can compete at the conference level.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Honestly I am trying to break out so not much advice to give but i could sure use some.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Baseball grip and 26oz-26.5oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
I train with Westy Guill and hit indoors.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Colorado Rockies

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
None

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Probably “Show out” by Juicy J

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Keep pushing for televised coverage

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Goosetown Best in the West in Anaconda, Montana.. flat out great time with teams from all over.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
BLD in Vegas. Only turf fields I’ve played on and loved em.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Buffalo Wild Wings

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I play guitar pretty well but never talk much about it or play for anyone.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
wouldn’t quite say it’s a gift but making the All-Region tournament team in college.
