How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started playing league ball with some friends.  I met Travis Dale and expressed my desire to get better.  We have worked together since.  Played down a couple years then moved to "C" the last two.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Not Conference/Non  but just Lower to Upper….the pitching makes a huge difference and bat control.  You have to be able to hit it anywhere at anytime.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
I dont think there is one player I would compare myself too.  I try and watch as much as I can when Im not playing…try and learn positioning…situations..swings and the game in general from the Veterans.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Won "C" State this year.  It was my first one.  Just had a great group of guys and played well.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Travis Dale…he plays the game the right way and treats everybody the same.  He could of blown me off but he didn't.  He wanted to help me get better.  He's also helped me to understand that there is always something to learn.  There are a lot of the Vets I have met over the years too that always been encouraging as well.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Work hard…and ask questions.  When you think you have enough BP swings in…hit another bag.  Always take meaningful BP too…work each swing of your game.  Never be afraid to ask these upper guys questions.  They are normally willing to help.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Conventional with Pinky off.
26oz
Endloaded

BW3

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Probably Rusty Bumgardner calling time out in the middle of a Small Ball tournament because he couldn't understand what the Amish boys were saying about him.  He told the umpires they needed to be ejected because they were cheating.

Great teammate and willing to put the work in and can be an asset to any team. Can play multiple positions and will do what he has to do to win games. Will suffer his average to move runners in and around. Great friend also. Good pick up for anybody. Somebody catch him and you will see.
