Who are you playing with in 2012?
In Canada I will be playing the Ontario Super Series with the Centertown Sports Nationals.
Second time member of Team Canada for the ASA Border Battle (member of the 2010 team)
I would like to find a confrence A or B  team for the 2012 season if possible

Why do you like the game of softball?
I love that there is always something happening in softball…..in baseball and fastpitch it sometimes can be boring, as there may not be a lot of hits,  if your pitcher is on their game that day. 

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Johnny Mcgraw and Brian Wegman….  Wegman's defsense is fantastic and Johnny is such a great hitter.

What is your nickname in softball?
Woody or Red Hot

What is your height and weight?
5'10 190 lbs

Where do you call home?
Barrie Ontario Canada (1.5 hours from Buffalo New York)

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
I don't really take weekends off…I love to play as much as I can.

What do you do for a living?
I'm the Facility Manager and Instructor at Central Baseball Academy in Barrie Ontario

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played Junior A Hockey in Manitoba then switched gears and now Referee.  I have ref'd games all over the USA and Canada in the Minor Pro Leagues and Major Junior.
Was a member of the Canadian National Mens FastPitch Team and played in the Australian Mens League (pro fast pitch)
Played both FastPitch and Baseball in the Canada Summer Games.
Does being a professional wrestler count as playing a pro sport?  Northern League Wrestling on facebook.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I played with my family Co-ed weekend team…after playing a tournament against the coach of the local A team I got asked to play in the Canadian Nationals at 18 and have not looked back.

I'm also a Member of the Combat Canadian Assault Team and had the chance to play a few tournaments with Combat/Laservision in 2010.  It was a unique experience to say the least.   That was a small taste of Conf ball and fell in love with it.  I would love the chance to get on a team and get a real shot to prove myself as a player.

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Don't think me…it only hurts the ball club

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Practice Practice Pratice.  If you can play your talents will eventually land you on your feet.

What position do you play?
I take pride in being versatile.  My strengh is pitching but can play any position on the diamond.

What batting grip do you use?
Standard grip no overlap

What ounce bat do you use?
26 OZ

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
I Hit BP indoors at the facility I work at and do core training.

What is your favorite sports team?
Winnipeg Jets (Hockey)

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Hockey

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
None

What is your most memorable softball moment?
Being on Team Canada in 2010 and Winning the 2010 Border Battle Game VS The USA.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?  
Country Boy Can Survive by Hank William Jr

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Not sure

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Softball Canada Canadian Championships

What is the best softball field you have played at and why? 
Las Vegas Field of Dreams….it is cool to see the fields made like MLB Stadiums.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?  
Buffalo Wild Wings
