Ryan Regenold

T's 13 / Easton
Why do you like the game of softball?
I play the game because I enjoy the competitive nature the game brings. As an adult it is the one game we can still hold onto that allows us to play a sport on such an organized and near professional level.
Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Jeff Ott. I had the pleasure to play with him at the end of his career but remember watching him at nationals in the early 2000's and he was the real deal. Always played the game the right way and a model teammate that made our team better on every level.

Not really
What is your most memorable softball moment?
Playing in ASA A Nationals in 2001 with all of my close friends just because it was in Waterloo and not knowing any better all being 19 & 20 years old. We made a run and put up 21 in the top of the 1st against Mountain Top / TPS before losing 36 – 34. That was the point we realized that this was a sport we were going to pursue on a more serious level and it all took off from there.

Sport

I believe they are doing a good job of regulating everything.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Playing next to Bill Kugler in the OF when he threw his hands in the air thinking the ball was going out of the park when the other team was out of homeruns….. Needless to say it didnt even hit the fence…. misjudged it a little I would say! Not the funniest thing in the world but if you know Bill its a lot funnier!
