What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Anywhere in the outfield or second base but I would say left field is my favorite

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Filip Washington

Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the fast pace, and traveling and the relationships you form with teammates also other players you meet

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Brandon Newton has some of the best hands I've seen great hitter and good team player

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Blackie Robinson lol because I wear number 42 and he also one of my favorite players was given to me by teammates a few years back

What is your height and weight?
5-9 180

Where do you call home?
Originally from Oakland California but I reside in Las Vegas

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
With my family, playing conference you travel a lot so I try and spend my off time with them

What do you do for a living?
Umpire for Usssa also real estate and sales rep for savIng sporting goods

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Yes baseball in high school and college basketball

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Playing league a coach approached me and asked how come I don't play tourneys… I said my team makes playoffs every season lol he said no on Saturdays and from there I started…I started playing on more competitive teams and taking a lot of No and was given the chance to play with tradesmen elite last year

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
I would have to say pitching and the way the field there position

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not really I think everyone brings their own style and play to softball

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Playing in Seattle dual 2 years ago against combat and Chris grienert hit a lazer in the gap and I tracked it down later he said I didn't think you were going to get to that

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
I would say fiilp Washington we hit together a lot and I used to play for fun and watching him and seeing what he has done shows me you can make it if you put in the work

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Play the game with respect and put in the work people are watching

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Overlap and 26oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Lots of people and mostly situational hitting and ground balls

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Oakland athletics basketball

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I don't

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
2 Pac me against the world

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
From my experience last year is say nothing I enjoyed it and no complaints

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Toys for tots in palm springs a lot if the best players an great competition all around awesome experience

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Sports park in Columbus Ohio they had turf fields and At least 20 fields

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
I love to eat so when we travel I like to try new places so I can't name just one

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
I was roster checked at toys on a open team

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Lol I love to cook when I'm not playing to be on the grill

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
I made all tourney in Portland
