He had been battling throat cancer. Cecil (Alford) said he told the doc on Monday this week "I don't want any more treatments". He had enough. He passed away this morning (April 15, 2011). He was a special kind of guy. He never did say much. Just laughed a lot at the stupid stuff we would create each weekend when we got together. He was part of the Sunbelt team that won the ASA in 1991 and kept Ritch's Superior from winning all 4 associations championship. He did a great job pitching. and he could hit them a mile. May Kenny rest in peace now. My prayers go out to his family and close friends. To Steve Craven and Carl Rose who were close teammates of his. May God Bless.
