Why do you like the game of softball?
Softball feeds my competitive hunger. I love the challenge of the game and the friendships formed with teammates, fans, sponsors, and other supporters are an awesome bonus!
Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
There is to many to choose from but I love watching Jeff Wallace hit and Brian Wegmon's overall performance.
Where do you call home?
Boise, Idaho
What do you do for a living?
I teach Special Education at a local high school.
Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played football, basketball, and baseball in high school. Played in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization after college at University of Southern Colorado.
What position do you play?
Third base and Shortstop.
What batting grip do you use?
Pinky off the bottom.
What is your favorite sports team?
BOISE STATE BRONCOS!
What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Basketball.
Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I throw up before every tournament. Almost before every game.
What is your most memorable softball moment?
Winning the Concord Major in 2009 with Combat/Elite. Also, at the Seattle Major in 08 with C Town, we had a few players miss their flights. Big Kerm had a pinch hit walk off gand slam to put us in the semi's...
Is slowpitch softball a sport or a game?
It is definitely a sport. The competition is fierce...
What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
This game always changes. I would leave it as it is.
What is your favorite non-World tournament?
The Dudley and the Denver Major.
What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
When Combat/Elite was playing Resmondo in the championship at the Denver Major in 09. I was playing second base and I was playing deep. I was supposed to get the force out at second but I accidentally threw the ball off of Charles Cunningham's (he was playing first) back. He still hasn't forgiven me. It is still one of my favorite highlights :)
