Brett helmer at santaro park in Syracuse New York  along with Brian wegman at the pac wide tournament in Yongsan base in Seoul South Korea. But to me the best player is the man who got me started in this sport sergeant first class Richard Caleb watching me and him being proud to say that he had got me started into my career.

Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the competivness side along with the chance to go out and make good friends. I suffer from PTSD which is a contant struggle with my daily activities but softball and the softball field has been my release my feel good time.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
To be completely honest there are so many great players comin onto the softball field and so many retiring it's hard to judge who is going to be the best especially with all the baseball players that are being released from mlb franchises. I'd be lying if I said I was going to be the best but every time I step out onto the field I aspire to be the best with every play every swing I want to be and am the guy everybody fears in my local leagues and tourney with every swing.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Nicknames well that's a whole bag I have from big country to big city to hulk and big nick. Guess I'll start from the beginning big city came about when I was first starting out and hitting the ball I didn't miss a ball and went 1000 in a double header with nothing less than home runs and they found out I was from New York thinking New York City then they found out I grew up on a dairy farm hunt etc. hulk and big nick came from my size and just my name.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I had gotten my start in softball at my first duty station at camp Casey South Korea. As far as my start in the upper levels I have not had a real shot at the upper levels due being constantly deployed but I did have the opportunity to play varsity A military ball and was selected to compete at the all army softball tournament but due to personal issues wasn't selected for the tournament team.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Brian wegman to be honest his cool calm composure at the plate and how he attacks the ball and his personality of the field fun outgoing but I'm not as mild mannered as him I'm a ball buster.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Then highlight that sticks out to me the most is when I first started out and had no knowledge of the game really and going from hitting 300+ foot home runs to 400+ home runs to win our tournament league in Korea.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Sergeant first class Richard Caleb he had been a long time veteran to the game and for him to talk the time to teach and mentor a young 21 year old kid to become and grow to the player I am today still touches my heart and that's why I am always willing to coach and mentor anybody.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Keep a level head and take any advice given to you learn and grow from it because the softball world is mostly made up of great personable individuals.
