2012 Texas USSSA Softball Hall of Fame

Some notable folks are being inducted into the Texas Softball Hall of Fame next Saturday night (February 4) in Ft. Worth.

Among them:

- Jon Meyers: former Williams/Worth, Ritches/Superior and Steele's star, among other teams.

- Kenny Scobee: also played for Williams/Worth and Steele's, among others.

- Stafford Connor: publisher of USSSA Today, which was previously Southwest Softball, and Arc Magazine before that. Also built/opened one of the first private complexes in Texas (Arc Park in Ft. Worth) back in the 1980s.

- James Anderson: Coach and sponsor of AJA Auto Sales in '80's & '90's.   One of the top A teams in Texas and the nation, and even made the World Series a couple of times.   Mentioned in several of Jerome's reports.

- Kris Ibrom: Prominent female player in Texas.   Wife of former Major player Sterlin Ibrom.   Suffered a stroke a few years ago while vacationing in Hawaii and went into a coma for months.   Has since fully recovered.

- Greg Huchingson; Manager of Budweiser/Worth teams in 1990's and early 2000's.   Took teams to Major World Series three times.   Currently USSSA State Director for South Texas, and host of Space City Classic, Budweiser Softball Festival (300+ teams) and Lone Star Shootout Series.

- Juan Noriega: 20+ year Veteran USSSA umpire from Brownsville, Texas on the Texas/Mexico border.
