Pitch, 1st, Catch

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
too many to pick one

Why do you like the game of softball?
I grew up watching my dads team Starpath back in the 80s & I played baseball my whole life was drafted as a pitcher but tore my shoulder. 

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Again too many to pick just one

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Coop calls me Lando & Sid named me Marty Moose lol I've been called a lot worse so it really doesn't matter to me.

What is your height and weight?
6'3  260-280lbs depending on if I'm lifting hard and eating good 

Where do you call home?

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
I love going to the lake with my family or drag strip. I have a fast boat & a few fast cars I like to drag race, other than that just something outside.

What do you do for a living?
I own 3 fitness gyms called Club Fit 24 hr fitness .

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played baseball & basketball in high school and baseball in college , drafted but did not sign.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I use to pitch to JC Phelps after school everyday when I was in 6th grade lol Then I watched my dad's team Starpath growing up. My first real travel ball was with Leon/Riverside Paving in Dothan, Alabama for the NSA A worlds, I was broke in fast we were the only TPS team there that was still swinging Aluminum bats, hell I didn't really no the difference until I seen a 150 lb man hit a ball 400 ft with the Easton synergy lol I looked over at coach Leon and said I think their bats are a little better lol

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Pitching and Defense , just all around a lot better. 

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not really I just show up and try to play hard for my team. 

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
I try to play every game just as hard as the last one…So not really 

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Every coach had some kind of game plan or strategy to win but Wallace did by far the best of getting on ur ass lol 

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Get on a conference team as quick as possible or you will just be spinning in the mud! 

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
pinkie off knob , slight top hand over lap  27 oz or 28 oz 

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Lift and hit when I can 

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Don't watch sports, I watch Fox news and the History channel lol I know wtf? 

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Superstitions are for the weak!!! 

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
One time in college my coach piked my song for me it was Brittney Spears Hit Me Baby one more time lol I really don't care 

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Go back to Aluminum Bats! 

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Mickey Blues County Community it is hands down the most fair tournament you can play in 

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
The Summit in Chattanooga,  TN.  If you have ever played there it speaks for itself.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere that has steak and beer 

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
JC Phelps had so many funny moments I wouldn't know where to start lol

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I was an identical twin I had a brother named Brandon that died of sids when he was 2 months old.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
My dad bought me a batting cage when I was 8 yrs old and it was pretty awesome for it's time, Thanks Dad
