and John Glidewell.

Played Baseball and Basketball in High School and Basketball in College.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Played church B league when I was 19.  A yr later I picked up in mens B league and got seen by Lee Stracener and he picked me up for his E tournament team.  We worked our way up to B.

Wear a mask and put another coat of sunscreen on that head!

Just never stop working to get better.  Pick up whenever you can to get seen and keep moving up.  Always say thanks to your sponsors.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Somehow help with the travel for the lower budget conference teams.  Its not fair to limit the number of major players.  Every sponsor wants to put the best team on the field they can get with the money they got.  Some just have more money than others.

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Busch/Pepsi in Little Rock

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?
The Stadium at Disney for obvious reasons but Sherwood for the Busch is great.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere with Tv's (Hooters, BWW)

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Sickle Cell in Shreveport Mike Lowrey was in left field and a line drive was hit at him that he volleyballed over the fence from about 20 ft away.  The next batter hit a linedrive at him that hit him in the throat.  He ran in, went throwing things around in the other teams dugout, realized he was in the wrong dugout, went into ours throwing things around then ran back to his spot in lf.  This all took about 5 minutes with everyone standing there not understanding what he was yelling or doing.  Come to find out he just wanted some sunglasses.  We invented the "throat cup" for him the next week.
