Well I'm a pitcher, so I tend to watch them more. So Andy Purcell.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
I've only personally seen him in two tournaments GSL WORLDS and Mojo but I'd say Brandon Dillon.  That dudes a beast on both sides of the ball.

What is your nickname in softball?
Bish

What is your height and weight?

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
With my beautiful wife Rebecca and my two kids Xavier 3, Zayla 10 mths. But off weekends us 3 are at the local fields playing. My son is ate up with it already.

What do you do for a living?
I'm a welder for CSX. 4 10's can't beat it

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played football, basketball, and baseball in high school. Signed to play at a small D2 school but the railroad was hiring and making that money was a thing I couldn't pass up

What was the best advice you were ever given?
I always played with a chip on my shoulder and because I can field I ran my mouth ALOT, and got a bad name for myself locally. It wasn't until my son was old enough to come that my dad said you're good enough to let your play do the talking and you don't want Xavier to see that. That's the best advice ever for me.

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Pitch and anywhere in the dirt. But pitching is definitely my best position.  Don't know if I can field or just not right in the head.

What batting grip do you use?
Pinky off bottom with a knob

What ounce bat do you use?
27oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
I have friends who live in the south and play every month out of the year, but when not I play in two basketball leagues and my garage is a batting cage

Too many.  But one is I have a cross n dog tags with my wife, son, and daughters name on them n kiss them before walking on field every inning

What is your most memorable softball moment?
Well to win my first game at this level against a team as classy and great as Reds Astros is something I will never forget.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Anything Rick Ross…imma boss

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
1. I think split to only have 4 or 5 major guys per team
2. Use hard balls and aluminum bats
3. Use crappy balls and make it more about defense

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Cincy major. With that many people watching and getting to play the big dog's.

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?
Besides Disney.  Botetourt Complex in Virginia.  Inground dugouts with bathroom and water fountain in them and the infield is amazing

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
I love Roosters in Ohio

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
A few years ago My best friend Carp was taking ground balls before game, bent over to field one stepped on his glove and face planted in the dirt in our white uniform.  Completely dirty before an inning started. Needless to say he received a lot of action at 3rd that game

  1. Fact says:

Good guy. I saw him last finish 2nd in the Braxton County Fair Township yearly tourney in the farmers division. Boy did that double windmill trick those farmers but not their wife’s who won the tourney.
