Why do you like the game of softball?
It gives me a way to stay competitive

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Hitter-Helmer, Defense-Jr, Overall-Purcell

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Too many to name but Brandon Bongard on our team is definitely one of them

What is your nickname in softball?
Onny

What is your height and weight?
6'0"-235

Where do you call home?
St Louis, Michigan

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
With my wife and two boys doing anything away from a softball diamond

What do you do for a living?
Local 333-Plumber/Pipefitter

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Football, Golf, Wrestling, Baseball-College ball for one year

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Lived by a fastpitch diamond growing up and used to fill in when teams were short from 14-18. Started playing slowpitch at 19 was noticed at 20 by John Dobernick who was the head coach of P&P 333 and I have been with them ever since.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Cost of  travel

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Play at the highest level you can for as long as you can because it will be over before you know it – Bob Stewart

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Play hard, people will notice

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Catcher and a little bit of Left Field

What batting grip do you use?
Standard with bottom finger around the knob

What ounce bat do you use?
27

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
I deer hunt from October-January, coyote and fox hunt the rest of the winter. Try to run and lift 3-4 days a week

What is your favorite sports team?
MICHIGAN WOLVERINES-F##K the school from ohio

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Football and Wrestling

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Not really a superstition but I always listen to music before I play

What is your most memorable softball moment?
Its always when I have won a world tournament but winning USSSA C in 2011 is the best so far

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Pantera-Walk or Metallica-Blackened

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I think it is heading in a great direction the way it is

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
It used to be The Anderson in Detroit when Larry Q ran it (best festival in the state on and off the field)

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?
Disney

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Usually pizza and a Budweiser in the room is good for me

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Too many to name but recently I would have to say when we were at the Kiracofe Memorial in Kalamazoo this year Scott Hille tried to get an at bat with his shirt off.
