What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Outfield and first base.  Best position is outfield

Why do you like the game of softball?
Similar to the game of baseball

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Tonka.  One of best Friends in Air Force ball used to say I was big like a buffalo.  Which "ta tonka" means buffalo in the Native American language

What is your height and weight?
6'2.  220lbs

Where do you call home now and where are you originally from?
Panama City, Florida.  I originally grew up in Illinois

What is your branch of service and are you active or retired?
United States Air Force. And I am active duty

How many years did you serve?
Two years so far and got four more on my first enlistment

What do you want to do when your military career is over?
Play professional softball and farm

What is your highest military softball achievement?
Winning the 2014 military worlds tournament, along with making the 2014 military all armed forces softball team

Who do you consider to be the best military player of all time?
Too many great players to chose from

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played baseball in high school, college and professionally.   Had the opportunity to Play with many great players over the years

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
That I'm a very simple guy that loves being home with my girlfriend and dogs

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
I started playin softball a lil over two years ago and I'm still trying to move up the ranks of softball superiority

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No, I feel that my own style of athletism, strength and power makes me a unique softball player

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Pup Shortland, he sparked my desire to see my true potential and follow my desire to play at the highest level of softball possible

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
28oz bat and I still use the two handed grip from my baseball days

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Weight training and batting practice

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Saint Louis Cardinals

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
None

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
"Big John" by Johnny cash

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
The mullet.   It's an offensive tourney with no limitation

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Dreams fields in Dallas

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Fire House subs

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Probably a fellow player getting a bad hop at second base and knockin him head first into a back roll into the outfield
