Too many to list.

Competition as well as a chance to meet new friends.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Too many to name all of them but no question Kyle Pearson would rank at the top. He is a complete player and get results when he plays.

Played one year of college football.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Played some open tournaments when I was younger and took off some time to coach baseball.  When I came back a few years ago, Trey Gilliland (Classic Glass) gave me an opportunity to play some "back yard" open tournaments and it has taken off from there.
Have to give a huge thanks to Trey as well as Tyler Scott for providing an opportunity to pitch in conference.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
I guess the biggest difference is that everyone for the most part act very professional and you don't have all the drama that you do at non-conference tournaments.
It wasn't a surprise the level of talent and the speed of the game.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
There are several people who helped me along the way.
When I started playing again a few years ago,,Trey Gilliland got me into playing some open tournaments that involved conference players and it open up some doors. (Thanks Trey!!)
Also Tyler Scott provided me an opportunity to pitch conference with Slayer. (Thanks Tyler!!)

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Keep your mouth shut and play hard all the time.
Also I would advise them to contact conference players as well as teams and ask to take part in BP with them as well as get advice from them.

27 and 28 oz

BP

TNT AC/DC

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Keep working on player safety and maybe advance from the traditional 10 man defense to a 11 man to provide more opportunity for players as well as speed up the game.  I really like it the way it is for the most part.

Disney
