Who are you playing with in 2016?
Free Agent – jeffreygormley@yahoo.com

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
3rd, 1st, 2nd. Equal at those position

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
I'm gonna be told it im showing favoritism. But, either Lulu, Branch, or Collins. All 3 will run through a wall to win and that kind of intensity is fun to watch. It's awesome to see good friends off the field battle like enemies on the field.

Why do you like the game of softball?
Was always a baseball player and got tired of 7-8 hour double headers on Sundays, so softball gave me the same feeling and could play a lot more games.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
This one is tough there is so much talent out there. Laski opened a lot of eyes and he deserves everything he is getting. Jesse the SS from Above All can flat out play ss.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Gorms, been my nickname since I was young

What is your height and weight?
6'2", 240

Where do you call home?
Orlando, Fl. originally from North Jersey

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Golfing, hanging with friends or traveling with my better half.

What do you do for a living?
Sales

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Basketball and baseball. Some basketball in college

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Was playing in an unlimited arc league and that was all I knew. Then that grew into about 10-15 different leagues, that lead to tourney ball and I couldn't believe how big it was and loved it

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The speed of the game. I think many players don't realize how fast a upper level game is. But when you play against upper level defense for the first time you respect how good the hitters are that much more. Those extra 200 points many people hit because of the borderline errors are taken away.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Went to a national with a team that wasn't expected to do much and we ended up going 9-2 took second place and I got one of the MVP's

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Branch. His knowledge of the game is crazy and he loves to talk ball whenever someone will listen. He changed my whole approach to the game.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Never stop putting in the work. and be a great teammate. tough to get picked up on teams when people don't like you.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
drop a pinky on both hands

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Hit the gym. and take a ton of BP.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Mets, Duke Basketball and the 49ers in that order

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Always have to have seeds with me

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
anything metal or hard rock. Metallica, Ozzy along those lines.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I think the changes this year are for the best. having a conference C and a non Conference C didn't make sense to me. I think they are headed in the right direction, just going to take some time for everyone to get used to it.

If they were able to improve it start getting complexes to be more like Fortune Rd. that's a much better size for upper teams.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
I like when I get to play with a team of friends. Being from North Jersey we had some fun beginning and end of year tourneys. during the year is all business

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Disney, no comparison.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Ale House, or any Wing place

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
That's tough, because we are always laughing. Maybe when an endcap pops out and everyone has to explain how that happened without a bat being doctored. I've swung thousands of bats and have never had that happen

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I'm OCD about organization.
