My left fielder from collage kept bugging me to come out and play with his league night team in a unlimited home run league. I fell in love with the game and a couple years later I was playing A. It's been a fun ride

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The game is a lot faster. The ball is harder than what I was use to, and the guys are bigger. I loved every min of it.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not really. I kinda have my own style. Very hard nosed player, and feel I have a lot of different shots in my bag. Hustle and heart is everything when you get to this level

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
My highschool, and collage coach Sam Dempster. I was lucky enough to have him at both levels. He tough me the game to the extent that no one else has.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Stay away from the BS, keep your head down, work hard and never take the game for granted

Cage work. The cage is my second home in the winter. There's usually a Tee not to far away either

Hockey is my favourite team sport obviously, being Canadian, but I have a serious passion for golf. Played professionally and it was a super fun ride

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I have a specific routine before every at bat that starts in the batters box. It helps me slow the game down and allows me to focus better by the time the pitch is thrown

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
God's gonna cut you down- Mr John Cash
