Why do you like the game of softball?
It is a ton of fun to go out and compete against the worlds best week in and week out. Plus it helps to get away from the headache of everyday life.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Most of the guys at the major level. If I had to pick one Kevin "Flip" Filby has the sweetest swing.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Travis Dale. This guy is one of the best leaders and teammates I have every played with. He has a very bright future for only being 27.

What is your nickname in softball?

What is your height and weight?
6'4" 240 lbs

Where do you call home?
Fort Wayne, Indiana

What is your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
By the pool, or playing golf with buddies.

What do you do for a living?
Construction/Concrete stamping and flooring

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played: Baseball, Football, and Basketball in High School. Went on to play college baseball for Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Also played a little
Semi Pro Football for the Indiana Cardinals in 2008.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I started playing C with some buddies from back home 4 years ago. Was very blessed to have a great year and was asked to move up. I have been blessed to play with some great guys and teams. Which in turn has opened my chances of getting looked at and move up.

What was the best advice you were ever given?
"No matter if you are hitting ..800 or .200 this game is still fun. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to succeed. Its a team game. Just have fun." -Rob Roop

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Go out every weekend and give it your all every game for your team and things will come.

What position do you play?
3B, SS, 1B

What ounce bat do you use?
27oz End-load or 28

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Workout daily and hit once or twice a week.

What is your favorite sports team?
Football: Colts   Baseball: Yankees   CFB: Tennessee Vols   CBB: Indiana Hoosiers.

What is your favorite sport other than softball?

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Yes. Doing the cross before every first at bat of every game.

What is your most memorable softball moment?
Beating the major players in the NSA A World championship. With a small town B team out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Korn "Shoots and Ladders"

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Nothing. I think it is fun the way it is.

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Playing in the NAIA College World Series. 

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?
Rockhill, South Carolina. Because there facility is just amazing and the diamonds are in perfect shape.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Buffalo Wild Wings
