Who are you playing with in 2017?
I have played with multiple teams so far this year. Looking for a more permanent team.

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
1st, Outfield, EH. 1st is best and primary (lefty on defense).

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Denny Crine

Why do you like the game of softball?
My wife and I can play together at a competitive level and enjoy it.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Andy Filoteo. He is young and hungry. He puts in a lot of work between play.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Baby G. A play on the movie Hardball with 'G-Baby'. I'm a big guy with a baby face.

What is your height and weight?
6'1", 215 lbs.

Where do you call home?
Sandy, Utah.

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Golfing.

What do you do for a living?
Owner of a Residential Solar company. 

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
High school baseball, wrestling, football and basketball.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started playing with my wife, we moved up to Upper level coed together.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
How consistently players square up the ball all the way through the lineup. No weak spots.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Bubba Mac

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Walk-off homerun, down 2 runs, with 2 runners on.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Filip Washington, Tyson Steele and Chris Hansen. They have all helped me to become a better and more consistent hitter.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Work until your weaknesses become your strengths.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Overlap. 27.5 oz.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Batting practice and weight training at least 4 times a week. I travel south to play in tournaments year-round.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Tech N9ne.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
St George, Utah, Heat Stroker in July. All-nighter tournament with temps in the 80s. Always a lot of teams and great competition.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Vegas Big League Dreams. I like the turf infields.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Chili's.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Tournament director was having sex behind the outfield fence during a game, got caught, and made a ride of shame on his 4-wheeler, back into the complex.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Grew up in the woods with no water or power from 2nd-8th grade in Northern Idaho.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
My father in law gave me a range finder for Christmas.
