Who are you playing with in 2014?
Just local team in Georgia.

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
I pitch and play 1st 3rd and middle strong point is between 1st and pitching.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Some of the best I seen play well let's see Connell Purcell Fulk Helmer Bubba Mac a lot more just that's naming off some.

Why do you like the game of softball?
To me I love softball because it gives me a goal to shoot for. I made my late brother a promise that I would play upper ball one day I've worked my tail off each year to get better.  I also love the sport because it's all about family and fun with softball and still allows me to be competitive.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Well there's a few here in Georgia I've watch like Kemya Wright Ira Brown Todd Hilton Shaun Soup Bridger.  Why I pick these guys is because I've grown up watching them play and me and Todd hits some around home for bp. All these guys hit the ball harder than anyone I've seen all have good gloves on defense.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
My nick name is GOOT it came from high school i don't remember why or how I got it.

What is your height and weight?
I'm 6'3 260

Where do you call home?
I call home Americus, Georgia

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Well if I'm not playing ball I love to play golf and hunt and fish.

What do you do for a living?
I work for a paint company I work in research and development. I make products for companies to test out and gain the business

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played every sport on high school. Couldn't play college football or basketball had to work right out of high school to support myself.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I started softball after I graduated I got invited to a tournament in Atlanta GA. I came up in the bottom of the 7th inning of the 1st game guys was talking this guy can't hit he no older than 17 with a tee shirt on. So 1st pitch I hit walk off grand slam been hooked since. Highest level I played in was d/c class in Georgia I'm just waiting on my moment to shine and show a team I'll give them everything I can to win a tournament.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Played in a conference tournament pitching no matter what knuckle ball or pitch I threw Carlton Griffen and Scott's lawn care was hitting it a long way in columbus.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not really but I always pretend to cut the rock like Bubba Mack

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Well my highlight I got invited to play with a group from a couple counties over. It was a all u can hit 300 ft fence all around we had 6 games didn't get out until my last at bat in the last game. Was hitting some moon shots.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
I have to say my late brother taught me the game as a young lad. He also was our sponsor and coach in league and a Little league ball

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
I have 2 finger overlap with 26.5 bats

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Just Bp bp bp and work out

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Favorite teams are the Braves Dallas Mavericks and favorite sport is golf other than softball

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I have none really.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Honestly the boys of fall by Kenny Chesney

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
It looks good to me where it's at now.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Any unlimited tournament because you seen so long bombs hit.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Have to say Walt Disney world that place is heaven to me lol

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere with a big steak

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
When one of my good friends got a Little wild and ran up the baseline and just started dancing out of no where.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Honestly there's not I'm the most out going person I know.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
My 1st ever big tournament I ever played received an all tournament plaque. Not getting out the whole tournament.

    Thanks soup means a lot I try everyday to hit and work on my game. Hopefully I can get a chance to shine and give a team 120%

    Keep working on the mound buddy! That is the quickest way to the conference. Need to go ahead and buy some shin guards and a helmet. Just ask Jonathan Scott about those shin guards. Good luck buddy and keep working hard like you are doing.
