OF-Filip Washington
IF- Bryson Baker
Overall hitting- its fun to watch Dale Brungardt and Greg Connell swing it.

Why do you like the game of softball?
It gives me a chance to meet some new people and i get the competitiveness i need after finishing college ball.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Wheeler Huff and Ryan Ramirez because they both put in the work to get better every chance they get and it shows.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
DBO King- I was given the name due to the fact I hit to many Homeruns for outs when I started playing.

What is your height and weight?
6'3 290lbs.

Where do you call home?
Sacramento, CA

I played Football/Basketball for 2 years and baseball throughout college.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I had a friend Big Steve ask me to play in a backyard tourney which got me hooked. I got to the Upper level thanks to Brandon Traylor who dragged me to the superdraft in Seattle where Wheeler Huff got me on an open team in which I met Rusty Kawachi who got me on to GTS. Thanks to Chris Hoshaw as well.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Every guy from 1-11 hits it where they want and the speed of the game is faster.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not really, just try and play the game right and do my job.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Right now it would be going to ASA B worlds and going undefeated to win after being the underdog.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
This has to be my dad who played A ball back in the day, and who forever reminds me to stay humble and true to the game. The moment you don't, is when everyone is watching.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Keep pushing because you never know who is watching. Also, to get out and play in some tournies outside of your hometown.

Drop pinky and 2 finger overlap.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Dallas Cowboys and Red Sox

Nothing beats watching good baseball.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I am a repetitive superstitious person, so if something works whether its eating at a certain place before a game or a certain flavor gatorade. If it works i'm doing again until it fails.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Bet you Can't do it like me- D-Lo
Bone Crusher -Wyle Out
Make it Bun Dem – Skrillex ft. Bob marley

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I like the more homeruns change this year, but I feel a floating rubber could be in place.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Toys 4 Tots Palm Springs because its a great cause and you get to play the best competition softball offers.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Oklahoma ASA complex because from field 1-12 they are all held to a high standard and they played exceptional.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere with good BBQ!

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
This has to go to Cora lee, when she tried to round the bases like Angels in The Outfield and ended up 10ft short after she fell from excitement.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I am scared of any kind of bug/reptile at all unless it's locked up.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
My dad gave me a signed Deion Sanders picture when he played for Cowboys.
