Who are you playing with in 2018?
Seminoles

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Utility but best is any middle infield position.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Brett Helmer, Brian Wegman, Byson Baker, Greg Connell. All these guys have been great for the game.

Why do you like the game of softball?
It allows me to still play the game that i love.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Kyle Pearson kills it. Played with him last year and he is as humble as they come.
Corey Briggs, Played ASA with him kid has a cannon for an arm and hits it. 

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Hanny, 8ball, Dateline, Vegas. These are a few.

What is your height and weight?
5'9 200lb

Where do you call home?
Las Vegas, NV

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Watching my kids play. My son plays club baseball and my daughter plays soccer. Love watching them play.

What do you do for a living?
Sales/Switchgear Quotations and Project Management for an Electrical Supply house.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Baseball/Football in High School
Junior College Baseball

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Aaron Ingram and John Gilmore from Famous gave me my first shot and played well enough for 2 years and got lucky enough to have Brett sign me with Easton and been there ever since.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The pace of the game is faster. You also have to make the routines if you dont it could be a 20 run inning real quick.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
no

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
There is 2 that come to mind
Winning the major last year with Smash it.
Winning the A with Linedrive in 2014 and being on the All World Team.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Denny Crine and Chris Adams from back in Vegas helped me a lot with hitting and getting me to the upper level.

Brett Helmer for taking a chance on me and sticking with me for all these years. I owe a lot to him.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Work hard, stay humble and take nothing for granted. 

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
27oz and Overlap grip

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Hit a lot, Play League, and work out when I can. 

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Oakland A's and Baseball

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Too many too name. But have to do the same thing before each at bat.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Home Sweet Home

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Nothing really. There is a lot of younger players coming to the game and it seems very diverse now. Anything can happen in this game now. Making it a lot more fun to play.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Toys 4 Tots in Palm Springs. Its just a great time and a great cause. Not too mention besides the Vegas opener its the only tourney i dont have to fly too. hahaha

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Disney, but cant wait to play at the new facility.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Texas Roadhouse or Buffalo Wild Wings

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Would have to be Johnny Bailey acting like he was taking a selfie after sliding into home. One of the funniest guys and best teammates i have ever played with.


What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
it would have to be 2 poster sized photos of my Son and Step son playing ball. Got these as a coaches gift for coaching one of their teams.

    Played with him in 2011. He’s a super great guy, one of my favorite teammates ever. He can flat out play. He plays the game the right way, not a stat padder.
    Whaley was also in that infield, hard to find two better teammates and players.
