Who are you playing with in 2012?
Team Lethal/HardcoreHuntingTV.com/SHSSports

Why do you like the game of softball?
I am a very competitive person and as an adult there aren't many sports out there for us. Softball is great competition and making friends for a life time.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Dewayne Frizzel and Bubba Mack are both from my area and both are amazing softball players.

What is you nickname in softball?
Larkin likes to call me OOOOOFF.   I tend to make funny sounds when hitting.

Where do you call home?
Pensacola, FL

What do you do for a living?
I am an Avionics Quality Assurance Aircraft Inspector for the United States Air Force (Civil Service).

Did you play sports in High School/College/Pro?
I never played baseball, only basketball in high school, college, and for the Air Force.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I started playing intramural softball 20 years ago in the Air Force and hit my first homerun and fell in love with the game.   I played mostly local B/C until I was fortunate enough to be picked up to play with Kirby's/Higgs Properties/Easton. One year later, Troy Nance picked me up to play with T&R Stucco.   Last year I started out with OI Livingston and Drew picked me up to finish the year with D2E.

What position did you play?
Pitcher

What do you do in the offseason to improve you pitching?
I lift weights year round and take BP at least once a week. When taking BP I usually arrive early and throw some pitches.    I also like to take a few ground balls after BP.

What advice can you offer a young pitcher trying to get to the upper level?
Play up as much as possible.   Trying to get seen is the hardest part of making it to upper softball.  If there are upper players in your area, try to pickup with them and play local when they do.   Work hard on your game!  BP, weights, and playing as much as possible makes you into a better player. You get out of softball what you put into it!

What batting grip do you use?
Two fingers off the bottom and two finger overlap on top hand.

What is your favorite sports team?
Oklahoma Sooners and Florida State Seminoles

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Is there another sport besides softball?   LOL

Do you have any superstitions and if so what are they?
No

What is your most memorable softball moment?
Beating Resmondo in Houston with T&R Stucco was by far the greatest moment for me.   That was the year they won every World.   Also, me and Phillip White from 454 had a pick up team in the Mullet about 5 years ago called Big Pain.    We were just "C" players but we beat a pickup team consisting of Helmer, Scott Brown, Scotty King, and few other Major Players.   GREAT TIMES!!!

Is slowpitch softball a sport or a game?
I think it's a little of both.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I love the conference, but limiting the "MAJOR" players on each team would be great.   Never gonna happen in my opinion but if it was a perfect world.   I think the umpires really need to examine the whole strike zone for Major teams.   It is hard enough to ever beat a Resmondo but when you have to throw cookies too! I think umpires need to stop looking for what is wrong with a pitch and just call the dang strike zone.   It was funny this year in the Mullet when a few Major guys played and our local umpires were calling a REAL strike zone.   They didn't hit so good!

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
100% the Smoky!
