What positions do you play and what is your best position?
OF/C/1st but I would say CF.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Too many to name but take your pick: OF Weary Guill/Eli Aguilar/Filip Washington/Jordan Spaulding, pitching Jose Flores/Mike Nino, IF AJ Montano/Matt Fox/Ryan McClanahan/Lex Ramirez. Power? Johnny JB Bailey/Mike Brambilla/Timothy Martinez. All great people on and off the field. Of course you have the legends like Andy Purcell, Brett Helmer, Greg Connell, Ed Vega, Jeff Hall who will be always be greats.

Why do you like the game of softball?
It’s an opportunity to play competitive ball when the baseball days are done while traveling and meeting some awesome people from all over the world.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Ovi Polanco is a young stud who plays with me for 4 the fallen. He’s a 5 tool player and awesome teammate. Locally in AZ CJ Sheperd has tons of potential and can go far as well as Cody Aquilina. Orlando Cano is great defensively and offensively.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
CC or Cam no real reason just from my name.

What is your height and weight?
6ft 190lbs

Played locally in Yuma growing up watching my dad play  and then moved to Phoenix and got picked up with MAJ for D and C utrip for a couple years and got a call by my brother AJ Montano to finish out 2014 conference. Got called back to join the team in ‘15 and won usssa B worlds in my first full conference season at age 21.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Every player top to bottom can hit for power and average when needed.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Winning 2015 B worlds and C mixed worlds with GSB in the same year.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
There’s not just one different people impacted me in different parts of my game.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Stay humble and put your work in consistently. MAKE them notice that you have what it takes.

Bringing more tourneys to the west coast to even out the expenses.
