What positions do you play and what is your best position?
I consider myself to be a utility player but would say my best position would be ss, middle, or second base.
Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
I am gonna have to say my boy Dustin Roberts.
Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the game the because it keeps me in shape and fuels my competive nature.
Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Thats hard to say because there are so many.
What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Milky has been it for a while and came from my last name.
What is your height and weight?
I am 5'9 180
Where do you call home?
I currently live in Suffolk, VA
What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
My off weekends when i have them are spent with my wife and little man who is a baller as well.
What do you do for a living?
I am currently in the military.
Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played baseball and basketball in high school
How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I got my start in 2005 when someone asked me to play on our base team. I was great in the field but couldnt hit, once i learned to hit i was hooked. I started playing out in town on a local E team and moved up from there to play C and was picked up with the scrapalators this year.
What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Pitching hands down!
Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
I dont have anyone i would compare my game too, but when i step on the field i am 110% every play, every game.
What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Playing All Navy was a definite check in the block for me and playing in my first conference tournament last year with JTF.
In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Again Dustin Roberts has taught me alot about the game, how to stand out and put in the work to make it to the top of the game.
What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Anyone that ask me about what it takes to play at the upper level, the best advice i can give is to put in the work at the fields. Learn to hit backside just as well as everything else. That is a gamechanger.
What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Pinky off the end, 27EL
What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Staying in shape and hit the cages
What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
I am a diehard Tarheels fan, basketball is my other passion
Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Swipe my sons initials before i hit in the dirt.
What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Beast of the East has always been fun.
What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Myrtle Beach is my favorite, i love the turf
Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Anyday on the field with Tre Campbell is bound to be funny because he knows how to get under everyone skin and grt other teams arguing haha!
