I like the game of softball because it something you can compete in and look forward too every year. Also you can't beat the friendships and bond you get with other players and teammates.

Best up and coming player is Jason Matusik for sure. He can drive the ball gap to gap and hit a home run out of any ballpark in big situations. Also he can play anywhere on the field

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
My nickname is Boom. I've had it since I've been 2. Charlie Tackett gave it too me. He used to play with my dad in the day and close family friend. How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Before my freshman year of college my neighbor asked me if I wanted to go to Michigan to play in a D world tournament. I fell in love from the atmosphere and worked on my game and played with a couple really good C teams and finally got the call from Robert Mahaffery to give me a chance at the conference level.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
It wasn't to surprising because I knew it was goin to be way better but it has to be the pitching. The skills that pitchers can do with the ball is unreal sometimes.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
I compare my attitude about the game to my dad Bob Noeth. Always takes the field as if no one can beat him and always has a winning mentality.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
I have 2 of them. One is playing with my dad with The Good Guys and winning a mid-world ring with him also both of getting All World Team. It was just an amazing experience to get to play with him. (It was the only time I ever out hit him). 2nd would be Winning the C worlds in Panama City with the Slumpbusters.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Once again I would have to say my Pops. If anyone have every seen him play you know what I'm talking about. I have been pretty lucky to have someone like him as a father/role model. He's taught me everything I know about the game and how it's supposed to be played!

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
You never know who's watching so  play every inning like its your last. You have to put in as much work off the field as much as you do on. You're playing against the best in the world.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
28oz Endload. I overlap my pinky on my bottom hand.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
I never used too but now that I know what the conference is all about, I'll be in the weight room and taking as much bp as I can.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Cincinnati Bengals and football has always been my favorite sport.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Before stepping in the batters box I take 2 full dry cuts. Then I retighten my batting gloves then hit the plate once with my bat.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Here comes the Boom- by Nelly

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I have only played one year in the conference so I don't know how it could be improved.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Non world tournament would have to be city slam or the cincy major. Both at Mid America Ballyard. Those are my favorite because they are in my home town so everyone I know is there.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Best I have ever played at is probably Disney. The atmosphere is just unreal! I really would like to play in the stadium this year.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
I like goin to a sports bar with wings and beer.
