Just doing nothing…. watching whatever sport happens to be on TV.

Student, pursuing my degree in Kinesiology.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played hockey and baseball in high school. Missed my senior year of baseball due to injury though.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I joined the military and when I got to Italy, my first duty station, I was asked if I could play softball. I said "Sure, why not" and been playing ever since. Really enjoyed being back on the field and playing again. As for upper level softball, I was at a Tuesday league night and ran into Greg Zayas, who I have known for a while, and he asked if I wanted to play with 4 The Fallen in the Cactus Classic, which was the upcoming weekend. I agreed and been with them ever since.

What was the best advice you were ever given?
A guy I played with in the military told me, "Shut your mouth, play the game right, and good things will come to you."

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?

Any team in Wisconsin… Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers.

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Hockey

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I have many superstitions when preparing for an at bat. Too many to go through here but I always do the same thing before every at bat…. Second nature now and don't even think about it anymore.

What is your most memorable softball moment?
Making the All-Navy softball team in 2006, my first year trying out.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Maybe limiting the number of major players per team.

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Military Inter-service Tournament…. Where the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps all play each other for bragging rights…. Many great friendships have come from this tournament for me, even though we never did very well.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Many funny things happen on the softball field, but one that comes to mind happened in the Dudley this past year. We were playing Westshore and there was a fly ball to CF. I was playing LF at the time and was yelling at our center fielder to find the fence. I guess he thought that meant to climb the fence. He climbs the fence, thinking he was going to rob the homerun and the ball landed short of the warning track.
