DW's 2010 Prospect Lists

"2010 Prospect List" as picked by DW before the 2010 season starts. 

The Top 10 (in Alphabetical order by last name) – The list contains only players that were NOT on the USSSA Major list or the USSSA Major Watch list before the 2010 season.


Kyle Cowart of Jean Shoppe – Turned in an outstanding 2009 on both sides of the ball.  May have the most range of any outfielder in the game.  Sported a .683 OBA, 35 HR, and was Defensive MVP of the Maryland Major.  Playing for Jean Shoppe in 2010.

Joey Formosa 3B – Laservision/Combat – Joey is a solid SS/3B with a cannon for an arm and has the clutch hitting and power to make it to the Major level.  2 All Tournament teams and 30+ homer's in 2009.

Jeff Gare IF – NW Combat – Effortless base hit and gap swing.  Gare can play most infield positions.  Won the 'B' Worlds in 2009.   .685 Onbase average.

Francois Henry RF – NW Combat – Has a real aggressive and attacking offensive presence.  Great combination of power and linedrive hitting.  Won the 'B' World in 2009.   2 All Tournaments, .697 onbase and 25 HR's.

Jon Jamison of Blitz Watanabe – Jamison helped power the Blitz offense to a 2nd place finish at the 'B' World Tournament and hit .664 OBA and 32 HR's for the season.  He was All Tournament at 'B' Worlds and the Indiana Major.  Look for Jamison to be back with Blitz in 2010.

Mike Malesko OF – MidWestCoast – Outfielder with solid all around skills.  Ready to make the jump to 'A' ball.  .664 onbase average and 33 HR's.

Marty Malloy IF – Suncoast – Played middle infield for Jean Shoppe in 2009.  5 tool player when stealing is allowed…His 2 All Tournament awards and a .665 onbase average should be topped in 2010!

Jon Oram of Northwest Combat/Trojans – Jon batted leadoff and played shortstop for the 2009 'B' World Champs.  Oram finished with a slightly lower than normal .626 OBA but managed All Tournament honor's at the 'B' World and the Mike Davis Major.  Look for Oram to remain with NW Combat in 2010.

Seth Stephens OF – Laservision/Combat – 'B' World Champ in 2009 looking to bring his .761 onbase average to the 'A' division.

Loyd Watson P – GTL – .696 onbase and 39 HR's for Wood Law made for a breakout year in 2009.  Look for Loyd to push Chad Munger for the starting pitching spot for GTL.
