2018 Cincinnati bracket link

The Cincinnati Major is this Friday through Sunday at the scenic Mid America Ballyard in Cincinnati, Ohio located on the Miami river.  The games start on Friday at 5:00 PM eastern time with 28 teams total, and 22 from the Nationwide Conference USSSA.  20 of the teams are classed 'A' and above.  This is a stacked field of teams that rivals that of last weekends Smoky Mountain Classic!   There should be some great softball played if the rains hold off.  There are great 'A' vs 'A' and 'AA' vs 'A' matchups from the start and on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM through the end of the tournament it should be one great game after another until the end of the event on all 4 fields.

The Livestreaming should be better this year because of a solution provided by our friend Andy Larkins of CincySoftball.com

Shea Nations Cincy picks!

This weekend at the Cincinnati Major in Cincinnati, OH and will have the top 8 teams in the Nationwide Conference Standings.  The teams attending include all three major teams and 7 AA teams, 10 A, 2 B and 6 local teams.  The tournament will begin on Friday evening at 5 pm with the first round games in which the top #4 seeds will all have byes.  The second round will start at 8 pm which will include only the top #4 seeds on Friday night.  Resmondo/RDD/H.Auto/All In/Sprizzi/ is the favorite after it's 50th annual "Smoky Mountain" championship and is the #1 overall seed based on Conference points.  The other teams looking to get the win: Dan Smith/Menosse/Steven Smith and Smash It/Thunder/Backman/TDB/Miken.

The Cincinnati Major Predictions:  The "Elite 8" starts at 2 pm on Saturday and could feature some of the same match ups that we will see at the "Conference" championship with Smash It versus Riot, TDB versus Pure Sports, Dan Smith versus Precision and Resmondo versus Xtreme.  The winners advance to the "Final Four" where will see who can manage their home runs more efficiently between Dan Smith versus Smash It and TDB versus Resmondo.  Immediately following the "Final Four" should be a rematch of the "Smoky Mountain" championship between Resmondo and Smash It.  Can Smash It get revenge from the late dominance by Resmondo or will Resmondo go undefeated a 3rd tournament in a row?

Can local teams like T&W/MIKEN or FISH HEAD/TOP SHELF/ E SHORE SPORTS  pull off an upset in the loser's bracket?

Shea's Final Picks for the Cincinnati Major:
1. Resmondo/RDD/H.Auto/All In/Sprizzi/
2. Smash It/Thunder/Backman/TDB/Miken
3. Dan Smith/Menosse/Steven Smith
4. TDB/FAI/KLUTCH/MIKE
5. RACK'S/WORTH ASTROS/KLUTCH/TROUPE
   XTREME/MIKEN/ASP/AT

Oldscout pollsters are going with Resmondo 60%

Note, Resmondo has only won 1 tournament on 300 foot fields this year (Vegas)

The two fields in the back are 280-290 feet on the fences so homerun management is key.  Although I heard they put a new fence on fields #3 and #4.

The two main fields are 300 feet all the way around.  It is 422 feet to the top of the hill on the main field out behind the homerun fence just for reference.
