2017 USSSA “Circle City” tournament preview!
4th Annual "Circle City" Classic
Indianapolis, Indiana
Nationwide Conference USSSA!
April 29-30
Tournament Preview
The "Circle City Classic" returns to the Indianapolis Sports park in 2017. For many years (1996-2001) the classic was an NSA flight tournament that was attended by a large amount of the top teams. See the list of winners at the bottom of this article. The tournament will start on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM Eastern. The tournament features 15 teams with 8 of them being from the Nationwide Conference USSSA. The tournament is expecting rain both days so hopefully everyone remember that even if a tournament like this began at 3 PM on Saturday it still has 24 hours to get the tournament in…be creative! 🙂
I (DW) will be driving up Saturday morning so that I can watch my twins play high school softball Friday night. So I hope to arrive around 8 AM to set up the livestream but be patient.

Team Breakdown:
15 Teams Overall
8 Conference USSSA Teams
3 'AA' Teams
8 'B' Teams
2 'C' Teams
1 'E' Teams
Resmondo won this tournament in 2016 when they had to add it to grab points following the passing of their coach Frank Webb and the fact they missed the Hall of Fame Classic last year. This year the 3 'AA' teams will battle for the top 3 spots and you can pretty much just randomly choose them in any order of finish. I will go with Precision who has finished 1st or 2nd here the last 3 years, and Worth Astros to finish 2nd as it is Herbs home territory.
DW's Picks:
1) Precision/3rd Str./GBrand/Easton
2) Worth Astros / K&G /Klutch
3) OA Apparel/Broughton/KBI/Easton
4) Premier
