2015 GSL Spring World – Columbus, Ohio tournament report!

 

 

 

 

Red's Astros/Louisville Slugger based out of Indiana won the GSL Spring World Open division going undefeated 4-0.  They beat Precision/Easton/DO from Illinois 31-17 in the winner's bracket finals and 18-13 in the championship game.  The tournament was played in very cold temperatures which were as low as 18 degrees.  They had 8 teams in all, including 4 'A' teams and there were only two run rule games out of 16 played.  Pure Romance/Foulks Adjusting/Headlines/Easton from Ohio was third and TG Brand from Michigan was 4th.  Red's pitcher Brendt Newbill was the MVP as he fought the 25 mph winds and cold temperatures.

The tournament is played on beautiful all turf infields and baseball sized fence distances.
