Anonymous pickers commentary:

The Peachtree will feature a total of 30 teams with 9 Conference USSSA teams slugging it out for 192 very important points toward the Men's Major World Series.  The bracket has a lot of lower local teams, and don't be surprised if there are some early tournament upsets.  Team Gillette is one you should keep on your radar and "Hammerface" may have the best team name in the country.  All in all it will be a fun weekend, and with no Major teams the winner will be anyone's guess.

The top half of the bracket could very well come down to Xtreme/Miken and Broughton playing each other at 4:45 Saturday.  I give Xtreme the edge here, but only slightly.  Xtreme bounced back from a disappointing Hall of Fame Dual to take 9th in Columbus.  I see Xtreme getting through and there could be a battle of Minnesota Conference teams if Encompass manages to get through.  I think Encompass can and will make it to Xtreme.  Xtreme vs Encompass comes down to a battle of offense vs defense.  Xtreme has the power to compete with anyone in Conference USSSA, and should be able to outslug Minnesota's other team.
OI Livingston looks to follow up a 5th place finish in Columbus with another good run in Atlanta.  Since the Hall of Fame Dual OI has posted a 3rd and a 5th in Conference USSSA play.  The team looks to keep it rolling, but the draw to do it could be a tough one.  Nightmare could be a tough battle for OI Livingston, but I think they get through to face Above All in the bottom half semi.  I'll take OI in a tight game to get to Xtreme in the winner's bracket final.

The winner's final between Xtreme and OI would be a great game at a great game time.  9:45 pm under the lights in front of a good crowd would make for a fun battle between these two "A" teams.  OI has proven it can hang with anyone, and Xtreme has shined over the years in the spotlight.  I like OI to take this down and head to Sunday undefeated, but I wouldn't rule out Xtreme or the possibility of a double-dip in the finals.  It's always interesting to see who can finish tournaments when the majors aren't there.   OI will be that team this weekend.
