The race for #1 seed at the USSSA Major World Series!

Here are the possible points scenarios based on finishing position at the Nationwide Conference USSSA championships this coming weekend August 29-31.  The top 4 teams will be seeded into the championships in such a way that the worst they could finish is tied for 7th.  The "MIN" column is the minimum points that the particular team can leave the Championships with.  Each teams final points of course seed them into the Major World Series.  With Resmondo just 28 points ahead of Laservision, the number 1 seed for the World Series is still up for grabs with #1 seed getting the preferred evening game times as well as home team advantage throughout the tournament.

As you can see the tournament does mean a lot as far as seeding, and as much as teams don't want to admit it, this tournament does mean something to each team.  Whether you are trying to get out of the area of the bracket where you have to run into Resmondo or Laservision early on, or you are trying to get into the top 8 so you have home team advantage, all points are important.

As always, this is unofficial and if you see any errors report them to dw@softballcenter.com

Is there any teams on this list not heading to the major?

That is a lot of Florida trips for Precision. A worlds, conference championships, B world and the Major.
