Major World Series countdown team #16 B&B Drywall/Easton!

#16 B&B DRYWALL/Easton – Belton, Missouri

BOBBY ONEAL  -B&B Drywall – Manager/Sponsor

B&B Drywall was the surprise of the 2014 season.  They began the season as a new Conference 'C' team and ended up winning Conference Majors in Kansas City and Denver.  They were bumped midseason to the 'B' division.  B&B was 2-3 vs 'A' teams and even hung tough with Laservision in Cincinnati losing just 36-35.  B&B is a line drive hitting team with a hard nosed defense who had some success on baseball fields as well as the 300 foot softball complexes.  The team is a reflection of their sponsor/manager Bob O'Neal who doesn't back down from any challenge and has been around the game of slowpitch for many years.  Late in the season they picked up pitcher Lyf Nimmo, catcher Stuart Snell (one of the leagues leading home run hitters), and infielder Chris Potts.  These additions really stretched out an already solid offensive lineup.

Outlook:  This is the first time these players have played at the Major World Series and one never knows how a team will react to the change in environment.  B&B opens as the #16 with a play in game against Xtreme at 3:30 PM Wednesday afternoon.  The winner gets Resmondo at 8:30 PM.  Look for B&B Drywall to beat Xtreme/Miken in a low scoring game in a contest that is really a flip of the coin.

Major World Series interview with Bob ONeal, Sponsor-manager:

What are your expectations for your team at the Major World Series?
Our expectations are real high, we are ready to win as many games as we can. This year we started as a C team and got bumped to B after winning 2 Majors. This will be a real experience for this team, we have no pressure, we are in 16th place.

What players will be missing or injured for the Major World Series and how will that affect your lineup and defense?
We all are good, but we have B World this weekend. I hope we all end up healthy for the Major World Series.

Who is your star defensive player that fans should watch and why?
Jason Trammell, our middle infielder, he plays as hard as anyone in the game. He dives, moves, and is really a player to watch.  He is only one of the players to contribute to our success this year.

What players are key to your teams offensive and defensive success at the Major World Series?
The whole team is what it takes for success in any team, but the key players are Brandon Oneal-Shortstop, Mike Brown-2nd base-catcher, both batted .775 with 50 some home runs this season. They hit the ball as good as anyone in the conference..Jason Trammell-lead off, Wes Newell-Pitching are the key players that need to be at the top of their game this week of the Major World Series.

What other (if any) tournaments does your team have left to play in 2014?
This is our last scheduled tourny this year.
