Worth® Adds Andy Purcell to Slowpitch Advisory Staff
 
KISSIMMEE, FL – June 19, 2012 – Worth® today announced the signing of one of slowpitch softball’s marquee players, Andy Purcell, to its advisory staff. Purcell is currently the pitcher for the top-ranked Men’s Major slowpitch team, Resmondo/Specialty Tank/Worth.
 
Other Worth Advisory Staff players on the Resmondo team include: Travis Resmondo, Don Dedonatis III, Greg Connell and BJ Fulk.
 
Purcell has been a member of 17 world championship teams, and has been selected to 15 all-world teams. In addition, Purcell earned MVP honors of the USSSA Men’s Major World Series twice, joining Dedonatis III as the only two players to accomplish this honor.
 
This signing continues St. Louis-based Worth’s aggressive initiative to add the best players and coaches to its roster of product development advisors. Worth’s fastpitch advisory team includes: Patti Gasso, head softball coach at the national runner-up University of Oklahoma; Ralph and Karen Weekly, co-head softball coaches at the University of Tennessee; Deana Gumpf, head softball coach at the University of Notre Dame; and Sharon Perkin, head softball coach at Georgia Tech.
