2011 SHOPPE / TEAM TPS / D2E / ELITE Conference Team

SHOPPE / TEAM TPS / D2E / ELITE

Tied 7th Place Shoppe/Team TPS/D2E/Elite  GTGG

Conf 'A' from McKenzie, TN   2-2 Record

Shoppe began their Major with a come from behind 27-26 win over EWS on Thursday when backup pitcher Chris Moon hit a walk off line drive down the left field line.   Then on Friday they lost to Team 454 22-12.  In the loser's bracket they played a shootout game and win over Darkside 33-24 and then lost back on diamond #4 to R&M Metals in another shootout where they trailed the whole way 27-20.  Shoppe was led by Matt King offensively.

Look for Shoppe to change over some of their roster all of which are great players but the wins just have not come easily.  Brett McCollum, Chente Granados, and Tony Mack are all rumored to be headed Shoppes way?

Conf 'A' from McKenzie, TN   -2 Record

Shoppe / Team TPS / D2E / Elite was outscored by their opponents over the course of their 4 games.   On Friday they never put 1st Step/DCS away and then were obliterated in the 7th inning when 1st Step scored 23 runs on them.   In the loser's bracket they didn't exactly dominate in wins over CA Sports and Primetime and then were knocked out Saturday night by EWS.

A roster as loaded as Shoppe's is with talent should not be outscored 100-92 at the 'A' Worlds.   This ones on the player's for not getting it done.   Hopefully for the last two tournaments they bring back some of the fire they showed against Laser Vision back at the Hall of Fame tournament when they scored 42 runs on the stadium field.

Hank Bassett from TPS looks on at his top TPS team

Tied for 9th Shoppe / Team TPS / D2E / Elite kept their winning streak from North Carolina going as they beat a good P&P team 22-11 and controlled Taylormade from start to finish 26-18.  Then the wheels came off the wagon and the offense went away in "in-class" losses to Team 454 and Sinister.
