Conf 'Major' from Othello, WA   3-2 Record

GTL couldn't pull it altogether for one weekend like they did the 'A' Worlds in 2010 after they lost their edge ever since the double dip by Resmondo back at the Dudley.  This is unfortunate because we know this team was capable of dethroning the champs.

GTL hammered 'B' teams Doerflinger and D2E in their first two games.  Then on Friday night in their second game in a row somehow only managed 2 runs against Laser Vision?  Much like Laser Visions offensive debacle against Resmondo, it seems like some team chemistry issues may have been happening with GTL.  It is unfortunate that at this time of the year that it is tough to get players to focus on this tournament when everyone is talking about 2012.  I can't think of any way to change that though.

The sponsorship and management of this team has always been first class though and there is noone in the game that is better at picking talent and seeing the future.

GTL had 35 homers in 5 games and had 7 players hit at least 3 each.

Conf 'M' from Othello, WA   2-2 Record

GTL Cartel/Demarini finishes 4th in a tournament that most of us expected them to finish first or second.  GTL is now just 15-10 since they won the winner's bracket championship game at the Dudley.  We know they can play on the baseball fields as well as any team in recent history but you have to wonder if this team has forgotten how to win and may be more affected by the 2012 roster shuffleing than an established team like Resmondo that pretty much knows who is going to be where every year.

GTL's lefty/righty power combo of Kevin Filby and Chris Larsen give it the hat tap celebration.

Larsen also was Co-Offensive MVP with a .777 onbase percentage, 73 HR's, and 194 RBI

GTL has lost their early season momentum

GTL's Donovan Pokraka was "All Conference"

Tied 7th Place GTL Cartel/Demarini  GTGG

Conf 'M' from Othello, WA   3-2 Record

GTL Cartel/DeMarini lost their third round game against R&M after drumming Columbus Pipe.  Then they run ruled Doerflinger before a late night back and forth slug fest loss to Laser Vision 39-35.

GTL had former 'C' World Champion Casey Bailbonds All World outfielder Kaeo Rubin playing RF and it was obvious they were trying to rest some guys.  GTL is 13-8 in their last 21 games and hasn't won more than 3 games in a row since they were double dipped in Minnesota at the Dudley.   Of course they were playing top 10 teams in almost all of those 21 games.

It will be fun to see GTL get back to the stadium tournaments.
