Some of the 2011 Hall of Fame Tournament Manager's meeting minutes from April 14, 2011

- Pointstreak.com is being tested out to keep live stats up to date as the tournament proceeds.

- Conference Rules will be entered into a rule book and distributed to all teams.

- Conference tournaments seeded by previous years points until after Houston (I am looking into this to make sure this is a valid statement)

- There will be additional Conference points for any tournament that has all 4 Major teams entered.
   – Those tournaments that will have all 4 Major teams entered are:
     1) Hall of Fame Classic
     2) Chicago
     3) The Dudley
     4) The Smoky
     5) Michigan (Last Chance)

- Brackets will be available on Tuesdays before each tournament.

- Conference consists of 38 teams from 25 different States.

- There will be 60 All Conference awards given out at the end of year banquet.

- 500 bat testing machine are being built.
– Bat testing machines should be available July 1st.
– Bat testing machines are $450 if pre-ordered. $495 if not pre-ordered.

- There is a new bracket for the Conference Championships that was voted in:

2011 USSSA Conference Championships Bracket

This bracket was inspired by the Big East College Basketball Tournament and as you can see it favors the higher seeded teams as it should.
This allows all teams that qualify for the Conference Championships to play for the title.
Teams seeded 9-16 by Conf Points have to play in the first round and if they lose in the first or second round they drop to the 'A' bracket.
Teams seeded 5-8 by Conf points get a bye from the first round but if they lose their first game they drop to the 'A' bracket.
Teams seeded 1-4 by Conf points can only play in the Major part of the bracket.
Teams that start in Round #3 or make it to round #3 will stay in the Major bracket for the whole weekend and cannot drop to the 'A' bracket.
The 8 teams that make it to Round #3 of the Major all earn more points for the weekend than any team that drops to the 'A' bracket.
